Tribunal sets aside 'fraudulent' transfer of Smaaash brand

The Mumbai bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has invalidated the change of ownership of the "Smaaash" brand, labeling it a "fraudulent" transaction by promoter Shripal Morakhia. The NCLT directed the brand to be transferred back to insolvent Smaaash Entertainment (SEPL), potentially enhancing value for the debt-laden sports entertainment company with outstanding debts of ₹452 crore.
